Production Supervisor
Ripon, 32k +, 4-day week, 33 days holiday, life assurance, health plan
Dynamic Production Supervisor required for an established food manufacturing company to undertake a 4-day-per-week role.
The company seeks someone who has successfully participated in change management and can help change mindsets and long-established cultures to achieve a streamlined, modern manufacturing environment.
Your role as the Production Supervisor will include:
·Management of production staff
·Labour and production planning
·Ensuring product quality, safety, legality, and specification against customer requirements
·Supervision of adherence to procedures and cleaning schedules by operators and HACCP.
·Assisting in the implementation of corrective actions and procedures
·Ensuring the completion of the necessary paperwork, glass checklists, daily checks, cleaning logs, metal detection, and labeling.
·Ensuring production efficiency, submitting KPI reports on performance, progress, and downtime and identifying issues in efficiency, and suggesting improvements.
·Assist in wastage control and reduction
·Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards - safe manual handling.
·Ensure the safe use of equipment and chemical handling, promote H & S culture, COSHH, and HACCAP
·Induction, training, and coaching of staff including records, clock cards and back-to-work forms.
As the Production Supervisor, you will:
·Previous experience as a production supervisor is essential and ideally you will come from a food manufacturing environment or similar.
·Be familiar with continuous Improvement, six sigma, Lean, monitoring KPIs and improving efficiency's.
·Be a great motivator and leader of people able to get people working together to improve current procedures.
·A target driven, quality-minded individual with strong people skills.
·A problem solver with the ability to improve processes.
·Qualifications in HACCAP, COSHH or H & S would be of great interest.
