SMT Technician (manufacturing)
£28,000 - £28,000
Hours: 39 per week. Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm & Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm

Job Purpose:
To carry out manufacturing process steps for the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and assemble product to agreed quality levels to meet customer expectations
Main Duties:
Set-up and run SMT lines to specified efficiency and process quality levels
Ensure product meets IPC 610 to the specified class
Input and preparation of process control documentation including first off inspection
Work closely with team and other technicians to support in fault finding and innovative solutions
Ensure you are familiar with the department’s output production targets
Complete all necessary paperwork and update databases to meet the requirements of the quality management system
Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process
Maintain to the highest level workmanship and product standards, and ensure no scrap is created with minimal re-work outside of design
Person Specification:
Accurate with good manual dexterity
Desire to learn and develop
Interest in electronics / manufacturing
Previous experience required:
Experience of running pick and place machines, (preferably MyData, Dek, Jet printer, SPI,X-ray and reflow ovens)
Previous experience in working from circuit and Engineering drawings
Good component recognition skills
Preferable skills:
Preferable creating DEK, SPI, Jet printer programs, not essential as training will be given
Previous experience of package creation would be beneficial
