I am currently working with a Basildon engineering company who require an additional Injection Moulding Setter/Operator to work a rotating earlies/lates shift pattern Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:00/11:30 – 20:00.
The role:
In this varied role you will be responsible for carrying out the setting up of tooling and for the moulding of high value plastic components using a variety of machinery. The work will include:
Setting machine controls
Regulating moulding temperature, volume of plastic, pressure and time
Trimming excess plastic
Identifying reject material and regrinding
Carrying out quality control
Packing finished product
Carrying out maintenance to production tools and machines
The candidate we are looking for will have:
Experience in a plastic moulding manufacturing environment
Experience in the setting of injection moulding machines
Ability to operate forklift to move tools to and from the moulding area
Very reliable and able to manage own workload
Good communication skills
