Production Manager 

We are looking for a Production Manager with experience working in sheet metal and a background of welding.

Job Type: Permanent, full time with 25 days Holiday, + Bank holidays
Hours:  40-hour week, Monday – Friday (8:00am – 4:30pm) - potential to finish early on Fridays
Salary:  £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience - any time worked over hours paid at x 1.5 

Our client is looking for a Production Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the production process. Your primary responsibilities will include creating efficient production schedules, supervising production processes and driving efficiency improvement throughout the manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities for Production Manager:

Develop and implement effective production schedules to optimise efficiency and meet production targets
Supervise and coordinate production activities to ensure smooth and timely execution of projects
Ensure that production equipment is regularly inspected and well-maintained to guarantee smooth operations and minimise downtime
Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols across all production processes to maintain a safe working environment
Implement quality control measures to uphold product standards and identify areas for improvement
Provide effective leadership to production staff, fostering a positive work environment and enhancing productivity
Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimisation
Review team skill requirements and ensure cross training is maintained to enable a multiskilled team within all sheet metal production
Requirements for Production Manager:

Proven experience as a Production Manager/Supervisor
Knowledge and experience working with stainless steel sheet metal
Lean/Six Sigma knowledge or qualication would be beneficial
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Knowledge of materials and production processes
