The company
Our client is a family-owned, global electrical manufacturing business. They design, manufacture, and install products globally and have a UK office based in Telford. They're known for their passion for adding value to people's lives and their buildings by offering smart, eco-efficient, and energy-saving solutions and services. Now, expanding their team, they are looking for a Materials Management Specialist with an eye for detail, Interpreting forecasts & KPI management.
The role
As a Materials Management Specialist at their Telford site. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you'll play a crucial role in their Demand Management team. This role includes ordering, expediting and interpreting forecasts for materials and supporting other teams within the business. Working hours between 8.30 am - 5 pm, Mon-Thur, Fri 8.30 am - 2 pm, 37.5 hours per week. Opportunity to WFH 2 days per week.
You will take responsibility for:
Keep track of supplier performance and work closely with the Purchasing team to efficiently tackle supply issues.
Analyse forecasts to strategically plan and schedule demand, ensuring alignment with Service Level Agreements.
Control stock levels to maximise service levels while minimising financial impact (DIO) on the business.
Organise material procurement and hasten receipts to guarantee product availability across all brands, while adhering to established policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful Production Engineer to have the following :
3+ Years Experience within the Supply chain, Demand management or procurement-type role.
Strong Organisational, interpersonal & Time management skills
Proficient in ERP Systems (SAP)
Knowledge of supply chain management
